NAWI Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

NAWI ("we", "the app") is an application developed by Nawitech to help people detect and prevent digital scams, and to receive alerts about nearby threats. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

1. Data we collect

DataDetail
Account data Username and password (stored encrypted). We do not require your real name or email to create an account.
Profile data Age range, country, and optionally gender and digital trust level, which help us personalize alerts.
Approximate location With your permission, we use your approximate location (with a random margin of up to 150 meters; your exact position is never transmitted or stored) to show you nearby threats and send proximity alerts.
Push notification token A technical identifier for your device (through Expo) that we use to send you security notifications.
Content you submit for analysis Messages, links, phone numbers, or screenshots you choose to send us so we can analyze them and tell you if they're a possible scam. This content may include personal information you include yourself.
Sign in with Google/Apple If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we may receive the email and name associated with that account. This feature is not yet active in all versions of the app.

2. How we use your data

We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share data with

We use external providers only to operate the service:

We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Location: how we protect your privacy

NAWI only requests approximate location permission ("while using the app"), never precise background location. Before being used or sent, your location is randomly offset within a radius of up to 150 meters; your real position is never transmitted or retained.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from our account deletion page or by writing to pmedrano566@gmail.com. We will process your request and delete your information within a reasonable timeframe, unless we must retain some data due to legal obligations.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical measures (such as password encryption and secure connections) to protect your information. No system is 100% infallible, so we recommend not sharing unnecessary sensitive information in the content you send for analysis.

7. Minors

NAWI is intended for adults. We do not intentionally request data from minors under 18 years old.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We will publish any changes on this same page along with the corresponding update date.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your data, write to us at pmedrano566@gmail.com or visit our support page.
